San Francisco artist Karen Coggeshall had early careers in the fashion industry and as a freelance artist, specializing in custom faux finishing, stenciling, hand-painted furniture & home decor projects for individual clients.
Later, as a partner in a family-owned software company, she focused on graphic design, presentations, technical drawings, databases and the administrative details of a small business.
In 2003, Karen's lifelong passion for Art compelled her to return to school at CCSF — she studied the masterworks in museum “atelier” classes, advanced her drawing and painting skills in oil, watercolor and pastels, and became an accomplished printmaker.
Karen's monoprints combine vibrant colors & patterns to create unique semi-abstractions.
Her 'plein air' watercolor paintings are a charming homage to the city that she loves.
For the past 7 years, Karen has perfected her skills in jewelry-making, designing & handcrafting wire wrapped pearls, crystals & gemstones into beautiful necklaces & earrings that have both a vintage elegance and a modern style!
